Okay, so… I don’t usually do this.

I’m not the “link roundup” girl.

But there’s just too much good stuff happening right now and you deserve to know about all of it.

Let’s start with two summits you’ll actually want on your radar:

I’m not generally a summit fan. Most are too long, too pitchy, too insubstantial?

But these two? I’m either speaking or shouting from the rooftops because they’re so freaking aligned with what I know you care about.

1. AI Unlocked — May 27–29

One of the questions I get over and over and over again is about how to use AI to facilitate SEO.

And while this isn’t an “AI for SEO” opportunity, I do think this is a thing that will give you IDEAS and SKILLS you can use to speed up your SEO activities (content creation, storytelling, LinkedIn strategy, PR).

This summit is about using AI in ways that are actually useful. Real examples, real workflows, and quick-hit trainings from folks who are in it. Not just theorizing about it.

You’ll learn grounded, real-world strategies that will help you run your business more efficiently, without turning it into a machine.

Registration just opened and instead of waiting ‘til I send the full breakdown next week…

You can go ahead and grab your free ticket now.

(Yes, it’s an affiliate link. I appreciate you!)

2. Effortless Impact — June 2–4

This one hits close to home, and not just because I’m speaking.

It’s a virtual summit for business owners who are done with a hustle-for-visibility marketing approach.

The folks who’ve tried staying consistent on Instagram, dabbled in content batching, and still end up wondering why it all feels so… fragile.

This event pulls together speakers who get it. People building sustainable visibility in ways that don’t chew up your time or energy.

And did I mention I’m speaking? Here’s what I’ll personally teach you:

👉 The Lazy Genius Guide to SEO: How To Get Found, Build Trust And Convert Without Doing More

I’ll be teaching a brand new framework for how I think about search visibility for service providers who are already stretched thin.

You’ll learn how to show up in front of the right people, with the right message, in ways that make Google happy… without adding a ton of new work to your already very full day.

It’s SEO strategy served up for the real world, for people who want results, not a second job.

I can’t share the registration link quite yet, but when I say I’m bouncing in my seat to get this talk in front of you?

STAY TUNED!

Now for the part where you plug in your earbuds…

Because somehow, three podcast episodes I recorded all dropped this week. 😂

Here’s the scoop:

🎧 Cubicle to CEO

You know how it feels like Google’s always moving the goal posts?

On this episode with Ellen Yin, I break down what actually matters for SEO in 2025.

We covered:

  • What makes a site “Google-friendly” (hint: it’s not just keywords)
  • The 4 pillars of modern SEO
  • Why your brand reputation is now an SEO signal
  • How AI overviews are changing the game — and what to do about it

🎧 Scaling Wellness

If you’re a wellness pro or just curious how I built my pregnancy and postpartum fitness business without social?

This one’s for you.

I share the common SEO mistakes I see wellness providers make — and how to fix them.

👉 Listen here

🎧 Journeys Through Change

Okay, confession: I don’t love listening to myself on podcasts.

But this one? It’s a favorite.

Noelle’s genius is drawing out people’s story, and this convo was equal parts academia, women’s health, and how I ended up helping folks get found online.

If you’re navigating a pivot in your career or business? Give this a listen.

Other cool shit I found this week:

Let’s call this the “Google is not dead” section.🙃

Google Creator Summit: Recap from Tomiko Harvey

This article is gold. Straight from a summit with Google’s own search team — the real engineers — she shares how creators should be thinking about AI, visibility, and what’s next.

Biggest takeaway?

Stop writing for the algorithm. Start writing for people.

Be useful. Be human. Be unreplicable.

Rand Fishkin: Google isn’t going anywhere

TL;DR: Google saw a 20% increase in searches last year.

373x more search traffic than ChatGPT.

Search is not dying. Clicks are still happening.

If someone tells you SEO is over, send them this and walk away.

SEMrush study on AI Overviews

Look. AI Overviews are changing the SERPs, but it’s not all bad news.

Here’s the nuance:

  • They show up mostly for top-of-funnel, info-only keywords (“What is Chat GPT?”)
  • Service-based, commercial searches? Still mostly untouched
  • Clicks aren’t disappearing, trust still drives behavior

So no, it’s not time to panic. But yes, it’s time to focus on trust, clarity, and being the real human in the room.

And finally, can you do me a favor?

Do you like roundups like this?

Thanks, Reader. You rock.

See you in the search results 🫶🏻-
Laura

Oh hey Reader-Google rolled out something at the end of May that’s pretty dang cool. You can now tell Google which websites you trust, and those sites get a little "Preferred" badge inside AI Overviews and AI Mode when they’re cited. Here's what this does for you:When someone marks your website as preferred, Google is more likely to cite you in their (relevant) AI answers. And when your link shows up, they're about twice as likely to click through. The catch (and tbh the upside): this is...

Hey Reader, The best thing that came out of my recent launch wasn't the sales. It was being reminded that the best things in my business trace back to relationships. → Colleagues who shared my stuff with their audiences. → Peers who showed up, cheered, and sent people my way. → People who said yes to things because we'd been in each other's corners for a while. These things aren't the result of surface-level acquaintances. This is what happens when you invest in relationships over time. And...

Oh hey Reader-I’ve had my head down for the last two months, living through the busiest quarter of my business so far. The kind of busy I’m grateful for, even if I’m slightly cross-eyed from staring at websites all day.And when I look at websites in bulk, patterns start popping out the way they did in those old Magic Eye puzzles. Relax your eyes, lean back a little, and boom: there it is. This quarter, the same issues kept showing up again and again. So after a week of being clobbered with...
